I am Umar Khamzar. I am 17 years old and I study in Form Three at Sekolah Menengah Islam Addiniah, Pulau Pinang.

I came from Myanmar, with my parents and four siblings. We fled the killings there to seek refuge here in the beautiful country of Malaysia.Ā Unfortunately, two of my siblings were separated from us during the chaos. Life is not easy for refugees like us but at least it is way better from where I came.

Here in Malaysia, I got the chance to go to school and start dreaming of a better tomorrow for us. But my parents cannot afford to have both my brother and I to be in school. My brother does odd jobs to help my parents with our expenses. The person I look up to the most is Saidina Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. He was a great ruler and a paragon of true Islamic values. I read a lot about him. His character has inspired me a lot. This is why, when I grow up I want to become a public servant so that I can remove the illness of corruption from the society and make life fair for all.Ā

Umar is currently enrolled and attending Form Three in Sekolah Menengah Islam Addiniah, Pulau Pinang. He is 17 years old and was born in Myanmar.

Umar plays football for the Diniah School Football team. He is also a participant of Briged Bakti Camping Service at the National Level. Umar scored overall of 75.6% in the end-of 2019 year school examination.

Umar’s father is the sole breadwinner who works as a factory worker while his mother is a housewife. Umar wants to become a public servant so that he can bring a change in the society and wipe out the evils.Ā Ā His familyā€™s financial condition is really bad and his father can manage to pay only 30% of the school fees and that too after a lot of struggle.Ā

Funds will be used to cover the fees for his Secondary Education at Sekolah Menengah Islam Addiniah, Pulau Pinang. The funds will also provide him the required basic amenities. Your donations to this campaign today might see Umar become a stand against corruption and other evil in the society as a public servant, following in the footsteps of Umar Ibn al-Khattab in just a few years time. What a worthy investment that is!
