About Muhamad Ilyas

Ilyas is a 24 year old businessman from Cenderong Balai, Perak..

–Ā  Ilyas has a 44 year old wife.
– He had twins who died at the age of 4 months due to premature birth and a lack of proper medical assistance.Ā
– Ilyas manages to earn only RM 1000 ā€“ RM 1200 per month depending on the customers at his stall.
– Ilyas is trying to make a living by running a small catering business to take care of the very basic and minimum needs of his family.

Story

Mr. Muhammad Ilyas runs a small food stall and catering business in Cenderong Balai, Perak. He is assisted by his wife, who helps in cooking, preparing and packaging the food.

Along with his locality, Ilyas tries to take orders from nearby areas around Cenderong Balai and Teluk Intan for lunch and afternoon meals.

Ilyas earns abour RM1,000 a month. Most of this income is spent in trying to meet the utmost basic necessities to support his family and pay off his business loans. His house rental is RM 300 per month

Ilyas had to borrow RM 4,000 from Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) to rebuild his booth that had been badly damaged by the storm. He has to pay AIM RM 95.00 every week to pay off his debt.

Ilyas and his wife want to be able to cook more so that they can sell larger quantities and meet the demands of their customers. Ilyas is restricted by minimal equipment which hinders their cooking capacity to produce more. He is trying his best to do more to get more customers and make sure the existing customers come back for more business.

The Solution

Through your donations and help, Ilyas can buy better tools, raw material and equipment to increase his daily output and satisfy customer demand.

Your donations will will give Ilyas the opportunity and empower him to expand his food/catering business in Ipoh,Tapah, Bidor, Langkap and other nearby areas. and take care of the basic needs of his family.

The donations will help Ilyas to cover the business expenses instead of using up his daily income.Ā He will be able to use his daily income to take care of his family and pay off his debts instead.Ā

To make sure that your donations reach their maximum potential, Ilyas will undergo a special training course that will help teach and enhance his skills in running a business. This includes:

ā€“ Basic Accounting

ā€“ Book-keeping Skills Course

ā€“ Online Business Strategy Course

The Messenger of Allah ļ·ŗ said: It is better for one among you to bring a load of firewood on his back and give charity out of it (and satisfy his own need) and be independent of people, than that he should beg from people, whether they give him anything or refuse him. Verily the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin (charity) with your dependents. [Muslim]

Ilyas is a living example of the hadith of the Prophet ļ·ŗ regarding those who try to work to earn a Halal and respectable income instead of begging others. At GlobalSadaqah our mission is to empower such people so that they go from becoming beneficiaries to benefactors themselves. This is the core of our mission to Circulate Good.

Even the smallest of donations count.Ā Allah loves all those who give and help remove a difficulty of a fellow Muslim.Ā The donations from this campaign not only help Ilays set up a decent business but will also help stabilize a family going through a very tough time because of debt.
